Speaker: Yvonne Ascher, Esq. is the former chairperson of the Trust & Estates Section of the California Bar and a member of ACTEC.
Attorney Yvonne Ascher will discuss hot topics in estate planning, including:
· The Power to Amend – statutory method or trust method – conflicts in the Courts.
· A new trend in “pour-over” Wills for married couples.
· The Family Code has been updated. When will the probate code follow? Issues pertaining to adopted children.
· Legislative update – it was not a very exciting year.
