A message from SCCBA President Lauren Corman
Over the past few years, our association has observed a growing need for legal representation among our community members, but this need remains unmet. This is where the Lawyer Referral Service (LRS) steps in.
What it is: The LRS is a service run by the county bar association designed to connect community members with legal representation.
How it works: Participating lawyers agree to provide a free 30-minute consultation to potential clients referred to them and contribute 15% of future fees to the LRS if they retain those clients.
Why it works: Attorneys participating in this service (my office included) have seen their reputations and practices flourish as they meet the community’s needs in their specific areas of practice.
I urge you to join us in addressing this need for access to justice in our community. By increasing the number of legal professionals participating in the LRS, we can better serve the people of Santa Cruz County.
A second program is going to be held in Watsonville on 7.24.24
