Topic:  How to Help Clients Minimize  Real Estate Taxes using Estate Planning.

Many families in Santa Cruz struggle to afford to stay here, particularly with high real estate taxes. Their advisors must understand how strategic estate planning can lead to significant cost savings, even during a lifetime. When Proposition 19 passed a few years ago the legal strategies for minimizing property taxes changed significantly and families need updated advice. In this seminar, we’ll focus on family residences, and how to minimize both capital gains and property taxes. If you aren't an estate planner, but want to be able to identify costly and common mistakes your clients may be making -- plus learn a few strategies for your own family -- this talk will break down the details in a clear, straightforward way.
